(Ventura) - Senator Monique Limón, alongside Assemblymember Bennett, presented $1,500,000 in State Budget Funding to the Rubicon Theatre Company for needed building renovations such as accessibility access, kitchen repairs, and equipment upgrades. This is the second investment in live performing arts that Senator Limón secured in the 2023 -2024 State Budget. 




(SANTA BARBARA) - Senator Monique Limón, alongside Assemblymember Hart, presented $500,000 to support Heal the Ocean’s Summerland Oil Mitigation Study (SOMS) to ensure we have accurate and consistent mapping of oil seeps & leaks along the central coast. While this important work began this summer, this marks the first State Budget funding this project will receive. 




(VENTURA) - Senator Monique Limón presented a $1 million state investment to develop the Teen Center at Saticoy Park, alongside Assemblymember Bennett and representatives from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura County. This funding will go towards the improvements needed to design and construct an addition to the Saticoy Boys and Girls Club facility.




(SANTA BARBARA) – Today, Senator Monique Limón, along with Assemblymember Gregg Hart, presented $500,000 in state funding to the Land Trust for Santa Barbara County to support the acquisition and preservation of the Gaviota Overlook at the Arroyo Hondo Preserve.

Senator Limón secured this funding with support from Assemblymember Hart in the 2023 State Budget to aid in the permanent protection of an important highly visible property on the iconic Gaviota Coast and to expand the Arroyo Hondo Preserve trail network.




(VENTURA) Senator Monique, alongside Assemblymember Steve Bennett, presented $1 million to support The Santa Paula Creek Sports Park buildout, a 37-acre sports and entertainment complex that will more than double Santa Paula’s park space. 




(SACRAMENTO) Senator Monique Limón championed a funding request, with the support of Assemblymember Hart, to secure $2.285 million in the California State Budget to fund renovations for the 1927 Lompoc Theater Project. This funding comes as an addition to the recent investment of $150,000 from the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians.




(SACRAMENTO) – On Thursday, Senator Monique Limón and the California State Legislature closed out another year of delivering needed funds and passing critical legislation to millions of Californians. Senator Limón championed legislation to help restaurant workers, safeguard human tracking survivors, expand access to health care, support nonprofits and more. Senator Limón released the following statement in regards to her seventh year in the California State Legislature: 




(SACRAMENTO) – On Wednesday, Senator Monique Limón was joined by a diverse coalition including  and equity advocates to highlight the importance of Senate Bill 702. SB 702 requires an annual report on data of individuals appointed by the Governor to measure and ensure the state's boards and commissions are representative of the state. Thus far, SB 702 has received bipartisan support in both houses.
