A Message from Senator Limón - October
A Monthly Message from Senator Limón
It is officially fall as we feel the crisp air in the mornings. Last month, the Legislature adjourned for the rest of the year, and I have been in the district, attending community events, and enjoying having fruitful conversations with many.
Eleven of my bills were sent to the Governor for his consideration. I am pleased to inform you that nine of those eleven bills were signed.
This year, the legislation I authored focused on protecting the environment, increasing consumer protections, expanding healthcare, Alzheimer’s disease detection, education, and more. Below are the nine bills I authored that will become law January 1, 2022.
Alisal Fire:
Thank you to all the individuals involved in the containment of the Alisal Fire. We are very fortunate to have response teams ready to keep our communities safe and support from counties around us in emergencies like this one. My office and I will continue serving as a resource and source of information on any fire or emergency in the district that occurs.
Halloween Safety:
Santa Barbara City Fire Department and the Office of Emergency Services are helping parents and their kids stay safe during Halloween. Below are some helpful tips, you can find additional safety tips on their Facebook.
Lastly, please note my office continues to be of assistance when needed. To reach us, please call our Santa Barbara office at (805) 965-0862 or our Oxnard office at (805) 988-1940 or email Senator.Limon@senate.ca.gov.
Sincerely,
Monique Limón
State Senator, 19th District
