Blood Drive with Senator Limón
On June 8th at 9:30 AM, Senator Limón and the team from Vitalant will host a community blood drive in Ventura! For appointment times, scan the QR code with your cellphone on the flier above, or call 877-258-4825.
SUN Bucks
Starting this summer, you can buy more food for your child with California SUN Bucks, also called Summer-EBT. SUN Bucks works just like CalFresh, but for the summer.
Children who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals through a school meal application or an Alternative Income Form, or get CalFresh, CalWORKs, or Medi-Cal, are automatically enrolled.
SUN Bucks provides $40 per month for food for June, July and August 2024 ($120 total). To learn more, click here.
Junk Drop Off Day
On June 8th, City of Ventura residents are invited to participate in a Junk Drop Off Event to properly dispose of hard-to-manage waste and recycling. This outdoor event will take place at 765 S Seaward Ave. in Ventura.
The California Coalition for Clean Air is now accepting microgrant applications to host a California Clean Air Day Community event. Awards up to $1,000 will be made available to help cover the cost of your Clean Air Day event.
Applications are due by July 12, 2024 at 5pm. Notification of funding will be shared at the beginning of September. For more information, please click here.
