July has been a busy month in the district with community events, meeting with local organizations, and representing the Central Coast at the White House. It has been a pleasure to see community members over the last few weeks.

The California State Lands Commission completed a Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Rincon Phase 2 Decommissioning Project. The Commission will review and consider certification of the Final EIR, and, if the Final EIR is certified, take action on the proposed Project at the next scheduled meeting of the Commission.
The Commission meeting previously scheduled to be held on August 15, 2024, has been changed. The new Commission meeting date is August 29, 2024, in Goleta at 12 pm.
Further details of the Commission meeting will be provided on the Commission’s website at www.slc.ca.gov as they become available.
Central Coast Community Energy Residential Battery Rebate Program
Central Coast Community Energy is launching their Residential Battery Rebate Program to help solar and non-solar customers manage their energy consumption and save money by storing the power they generate during the day to cover electricity use after the sun goes down and the prices go up (“load shifting”).
