Central Coast Caucus Scholarship
As the Vice Chair of the Central Coast Caucus, I am thrilled to announce the first ever Central Coast Impact Scholarship is live! The California Legislative Central Coast Caucus Foundation (CLCCCF), founded in 2024, is offering its inaugural round of Central Coast Impact scholarships. These scholarships are offered to Central Coast students who reside in the Central Coast. For 2024, two recipients will be chosen per CLCCC member, with at least one coming from each of the five counties in the Caucus: Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. CalOES Eligible Nonprofit Security Grant Program Webinar
On Thursday, May 2nd California Office of Emergency Services will be hosting a webinar on the Nonprofit Security Grant Program. Funding is available to nonprofits located in designated urban areas (NSGP-UA), and to nonprofits located outside designated urban areas (NSGP-S).
The NSGP is focused on target hardening activities. Funding can be used for the acquisition and installation of security equipment on real property. Nonprofit organizations that are eligible to submit applications for the FY 2024 NSGP are those organizations that are described under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and exempt from tax under Section 501(a) of such code. In preparation for the FY 2024 NSGP application submission, Cal OES will be conducting webinars to explain the NSGP requirements and application process.
The Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council is now accepting applications for residents with significant barriers to making wildfire-safe retrofits on their own.
Some of these groups may include:
Residents impacted by the Thomas Fire (2017)
Senior residents
Residents living on limited income
Residents with disabilities

Looking for help with college? The Women in CA Leadership Foundation’s Minerva Scholarship & Breaking Barriers programs begin accepting applications from eligible students on April 17, 2024!

California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation Scholarship
The CA Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation is currently accepting online applications from eligible students for its scholarship. Complete scholarship requirements and details (including the application) are now available on the Foundation website: www.CLLCF.org.
The deadline for submitting the online application and all supporting documentation is June 1, 2024, by 5:00 pm. There are no exceptions to this deadline.
