My legislation toensure medical debt does not hurt your credit score has made it to the Governor’s Desk. The bill is sponsored by a large coalition including Attorney General Rob Bonta, California Nurses Association, Health Access California, Consumer Federation of America, California Public Interest Research Group (CALPIRG), the National Consumer Law Center, and the California Low-Income Consumer Coalition has received broad support.

Whale Tail Grants
The WHALE TAIL® Grants by the California Coastal Commission are now available! These grants fund projects that connect people to the California Coast and its watersheds through education, stewardship, and outdoor experiences.

California State Parks Passes
Are you looking to enjoy your California State Parks? There are two passes that provide free admission to over 200 State Parks.
Golden Bear Pass
CalWORKs and Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families recipients can enjoy free admission to California State Parks and Beaches with a Golden Bear Pass. The pass provides FREE entry at 200+ state parks and beaches. The passes for the current application process are valid for the 2024 Calendar year.

Adventure Pass
With school returning to session – I want to remind you all that every fourth grader is eligible for a FREE State Parks pass through the California Adventure Pass. State Parks invites you to add to your child’s school curriculum by visiting 19 select state park units for FREE via an Adventure Pass. Learn more at parks.ca.gov/AdventurePass.

ArtWalk Ventura
This family-friendly event Sept. 21-22, 2024 will feature hundreds of artists in local galleries, businesses, restaurants and on the grounds of Mission Park and the Albinger Museum. Artist booths, popular local bands, aerialists, poetry, dance, a film festival, street painting, puppetry and a children’s area will be available at the event.
