Madre Fire Update and Evacuation Order

Good Afternoon,
My office is currently tracking the Madre Fire Burning in the Los Padres National Forest. Out of an abundance of caution, The San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, in coordination with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department and the Los Padres National Forest Service, is issuing an evacuation order for parts of San Luis Obispo County and all areas within the Carrizo Plains Ecological Preserve due to the Madre Fire.
Evacuation Order: LPF-017, SLC-226, SLC-264, SLC-265, SLC-299, SLC-312, SLC-337, SLC-338
Evacuation Warning:
San Luis Obispo County: SLC-263, SLC-298, SLC-300, SLC-313, SLC-339, SLC-358
Santa Barbara County: East of the Rock Front Area, west of Cottonwood Canyon Rd, and south of Highway 166.

Road Closures:
State Route 166 East is closed from US 101 near Santa Maria to Perkins Road near New Cuyama in Santa Barbara County due to the Madre fire.
