Critical February Storm Information

Below is the most recent storm information as of 2:30PM on 2/12/2025
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has issued an EVACUATION ORDER for the identified properties associated with the Lake Fire burn scar. This Evacuation Order is due to strong storm conditions with the potential to produce flash flooding, debris flows, and landslides. Residents should leave no later than 3 PM.
The remaining areas of the Lake Fire Burn Scar will stay under an Evacuation Warning.
Community Members in the Evacuation Order should:
- Leave Wednesday, February 12 by 3 PM.
- Expect strong winds which can cause debris to fall onto roadways and power outages.
- Be prepared to sustain yourself and your household for multiple days if you choose not to evacuate, as you may not be able to leave the area and emergency responders may not be able to access your property in the event of road damage, flooding, or debris flow.
Community Members in the Evacuation Warning should:
- People with disabilities, access, and functional needs should leave immediately.
- People who need more time to evacuate, such as families with children, seniors, and those who require assistance with transportation should leave immediately.
- People with large animals should leave immediately.
- PREPARE to leave: fill gas tank, gather important documents, essential items, etc.
- LEAVE NOW if you feel unsafe. Do not wait for an evacuation order.
- BE READY to leave at a moment's notice.
- BE PREPARED to sustain yourself and your household for multiple days if you choose not to evacuate, as you may not be able to leave the area, and emergency responders may not be able to access your property in the event of road damage, flooding, or debris.
- DO NOT attempt to drive while it is dark or raining, as roads may be damaged or your car may be swept away by moving water or debris.

There are currently NO EVACUATION ORDERS OR WARNINGS for the Mountain Fire burn scar area. Residents in Ventura County should stay aware of any updates, here as the situation is developing.

- All of San Luis Obispo county
