International Women's Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day I had the pleasure of attending the Mariachi Girl show put on by Ánimo Theatre Company alongside Mariachi Inlakech at Pacifica High School in Oxnard. Congratulations on a terrific show and thank you for recognizing me alongside fellow women leaders for our work on behalf of Ventura County.

Cabrillo Multi Use Path groundbreaking ceremony

This month Team Limón attended the Cabrillo Multi Use Path groundbreaking ceremony. The Cabrillo Village Multi-Use Path project contributes to active transportation infrastructure improvements by constructing a dedicated Class I bike trail that will extend between South Saticoy Avenue and the terminus of North Bank Drive along the Santa Clara River's north bank. This project is aimed at supporting safer, more sustainable transportation options in the region.

ShelterBox

Shelterbox USA

I had the unique honor of joining some incredible women for a panel with ShelterBox USA at their International Women’s Day event alongside Kerri Murray, Captain Sheila Kelliher, Mindy Budgor, and Trinity Tran.

Momentum Inc non-profit

It was my honor to award a Senate Certificate to Momentum Inc., a local non-profit that provides support and opportunities for those with developmental disabilities at a recent flag raising event at the Santa Barbara harbor. I am grateful for their efforts in providing our community members with disabilities a chance to grow in their personal and professional lives.

Police Activities League’s (PAL) Youth Leadership Council.

I had a great time with students from the Police Activities League’s (PAL) Youth Leadership Council. It was great to hear about the issues they find important and I look forward to seeing where they take their leadership skills in the near future.

St. Vincent's in Santa Barbara

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to tour St. Vincent’s in Santa Barbara, a charitable organization that provides affordable housing, early childhood education, and intergenerational family services for the community. Thank you for the hospitality and for your continued work in our community.
